“God has brought me to this place, and He alone will let me go to my home. You cannot do anything against God.”

So said Bahaa el-Akkad, a 58-year old Egyptian convert to Christianity, responding to officers of the State Security Investigation. On April 28th of this year they told el-Akkad that he would stay in prison for 10 years if he didn't renounce his new faith <he had 'insulted Islam' by converting>.
